For the second time in about a week, strike action is happening at Mississauga’s Gateway postal facility.
Canada Post says striking members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers began job action on Tuesday, Nov. 13 morning in Mississauga as well as Brampton, Toronto, Etobicoke, Concord and at the York Distribution Centre in Scarborough. Strikes are also ongoing in parts of Nova Scotia while job action out west near Vancouver ended on Tuesday morning.
On its website, the Crown corporation says Toronto and Vancouver are “key processing hubs” for the country so the strikes will have a “significant impact” on operations. They warn that customers will experience delays in delivery.
